Onofrio "Marcello" Gallina was born 1962 in Palermo, he studied for eight years at the Conservatory of Music "V. Bellini" of Palermo in the sicilian concertist Filomena Longo's class. In 1980 he obtained a License of Theory and Solfege (composers and instrumentalists), in 1983 he graduated high school. Then stopped the course for academic study piano in full freedom. He began to perform in his hometown and became the pianist of great historic hotels like Villa Igiea Grand Hotel and Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes. EXPERIENCES

In 1985 he started playing in some clubs in the city of Palermo, in 1989 he performed at the Roof Garden of Mondello, with saxophonist Stefano Basile interpreting jazz standards. In the nineties he has been exibiting in the most famous hotels in Palermo: Grand Hotel Villa Igiea and Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes, doing classical Piano Bar and parties with the attendance of Japanese amateurs of Italian music and popular personalities. He played in the famous Torre Normanna Hotel 1991 and 1992, showing his versatility with digital piano, with synthesizer and with harmonic-rhythimic modules. For two musical seasons he has been the pianis interpreter of authentic music for italian and french public; during a poetry recital of painter and poet Carlo Puleo he interpreted music by Morricone, Rota, Lai and Vangelis, realizing a magical background of orchestral music; then he was defined "Exceptional Pianist" during "Festa del Mare" in 1992 in Altavilla Mlicia (Palermo). The sicilian flutist Maurizio Costanzo played during some of the pianist's exhibitions: the two of them interpreted togheter bossa-nova music by Jobim and Ongarello. Finally in 1998 he exibited in a trio concert at Dante Theatre with the sicilian drummer Salvo Anello and the sicilian bass player Giuseppe D'Amico, and the event was programmed by the sicilian TV "TeleRadioMediterraneo", then he played at the Cultural Centre Agricanusin Palermo during the event "ShowNoProfit", with the attendance of popular personalities of music and showbiz. Moved to Veneto in 2001 he was an artistic guest in the most famous cafès in Venice and surroundings in "Antico Caffè Paolin" for the opening of the music room and in "Caffè Grande" for the presentation "Le Beaujolais Nouveau Est Arrivè" in 2002. In 2005 he performed in concert at the Caffè Grande in San Dona di Piave for the evening "Ever Green Lover" interpreting music by famous Italian composers.
